Summer Camps at Abiqua School in Salem, Oregon
Abiqua School’s 2025 summer programs offer two exciting options designed for children entering Preschool through 5th Grade in the 2025–2026 school year:
Abiqua Adventures and Spanish Immersion Summer Camps! Camps run: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Before care: 8:00-9:00 AM. After care: 3:00-5:00 PM
Both programs are open to current Abiqua families and the wider community. Spots are limited—register early to secure your child’s place!

Each week includes on-campus field day fun for all campers and off-campus field trips for students entering Kindergarten through 5th Grade.

Through language, culture, and creativity, students build Spanish vocabulary and confidence while exploring weekly themes through games, projects, and hands-on experiences.
Each session is taught in Spanish and is designed for the developmental level of the students enrolled. These camps do not include field trips. Camps run: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Before care: 8:00-9:00 AM. After care: 3:00-5:00 PM

June 30–July 3 (4-Day Camp)
¡Qué Rico! Food and Culture of Mexico
For incoming Kindergarten–3rd Graders
Campers explore Mexican foods through tasting, crafts, and play. They build vocabulary around flavors, food words, and kitchen actions—no cooking required.
July 7–11
México Mágico: Misión Exploradores
For incoming 2nd–5th Graders
Campers go on a pretend mission across Mexico, learning about geography, history, and landmarks through games and creative projects.
July 14–18
Ritmo y Rima: Música y Movimiento del Mundo Hispano
For incoming 2nd–5th Graders
A high-energy week exploring rhythm, instruments, and movement from Spanish-speaking countries.
July 21–25
Guardianes de la Tierra: Eco-Héroes de México
For incoming Kindergarten–3rd Graders
Campers learn about nature and sustainability while expanding vocabulary and Spanish verbs through eco-themed activities.
July 28–August 1
Ninjas de los Números: Math Masters en Español
For incoming 2nd–5th Graders
Campers practice math skills in Spanish using games, puzzles, and obstacle courses.
August 4–8
Guerreros del Abecedario
For incoming 2nd–5th Graders
Students strengthen their language skills through word games, storytelling, and fun literacy-based activities in Spanish.
$400 per week

Open to fully potty-trained children age 3 and older (Abiqua Adventures only)
Payment options: credit card, check, cash, or family account billing (for currently enrolled students only)
Full payment is required before the first day of camp
If a camp is canceled by Abiqua, a full refund will be issued
Refunds are not available after June 25 unless the camp is canceled by the school

It’s game time! From life-sized board games and sporty challenges to puzzle-solving and designing a unique board game, this week is packed with competitive fun and teamwork. Campers will put their strategy, creativity, and sportsmanship to the test in daily challenges and a grand tournament!

Each day will feature simple machines—levers, pulleys, inclined planes—and build toward creating original inventions. This hands-on camp strengthens critical thinking while celebrating the wonder of how things work in the world around us.
